Gratitude is Our Game Plan:

Elliott’s Playbook for a Meaningful Season

As the weather cools and the holidays approach, it’s a good time to pause and think about what really matters. While we all enjoy the fall traditions—like football and family dinners—this season gives us a chance to reflect on the year and express our gratitude.

At Elliott, we believe in fostering a unique culture where people genuinely care about each other and their families. That same care extends to you, our valued customers. We know that strong relationships are the foundation of our success, and we’re proud of the connections we’ve built with partners across industries like utilities, sign and lighting, public works, rail, and more.

Gratitude plays a big part in how we operate at Elliott. It’s such a positive emotion that we make it a daily practice. For example, every morning, our leadership team and others start the day by sharing something we’re grateful for. It’s a simple act, but it has a powerful effect on how we approach our work and interact with each other. We encourage you to give it a try—just a few days of starting with gratitude can make a big difference in your outlook.
As we enter this season, we want to thank you for trusting us and working alongside us. From all of us at Elliott, we wish you a meaningful season filled with connection and time with those who matter most.

THE BACKBONE OF PERFORMANCE: WHY SUBFRAME QUALITY MATTERS

When it comes to heavy machinery, success lies in the details—and one of the most overlooked yet essential components is the subframe.
Positioned between the truck’s chassis frame and the mounted equipment, this unassuming yet powerful structure ensures every crane, aerial work platform, and digger derrick operates with maximum strength and reliability. Think of it as the backbone of the machine, providing critical stability.

Superior Subframes
The subframe serves as a connection point between the chassis and the unit’s turret, with outriggers often attached to it. Its primary function is to improve overall strength and stability, minimizing frame twist and optimizing equipment performance. This structural enhancement is essential for various industries and applications.
A well-designed subframe ensures that even under heavy loads or demanding conditions, the equipment performs consistently and safely.
In short, the subframe provides more than just support—it actively enhances performance. By distributing stress evenly across the machine, it improves stability and reduces the strain on both the chassis and upper components. This extends the lifespan of the entire unit, protecting your investment for the long haul.

Built to Last
Not all manufacturers approach subframes the same way. Some cut corners or offer partial subframes. We take a different approach: Every machine we manufacture, whether it be a 40 foot aerial or a 50 ton crane, is built with a full-length subframe. This is part of our unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and longevity—and it’s backed by our lifetime structural warranty.

We know you work in demanding industries—whether it’s utilities, construction, mining, sign and lighting, or beyond—and you need equipment that performs flawlessly every day. Our subframes are designed to ensure your Elliott investment works as hard as you do, without compromise.

CARBON MONOXIDE AWARENESS MONTH

November is Carbon Monoxide Awareness Month, a reminder to stay vigilant about CO risks in the workplace and at home.
Carbon monoxide is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, making it hard to detect. Workers in various environments, such as warehouses, docks, and garages—like welders, mechanics, and operators—can be exposed to dangerous CO levels.

Symptoms of CO poisoning include:
Chest tightness
Headache
Fatigue
Dizziness
Confusion
Nausea

To reduce CO risks, OSHA recommends:
Report situations where CO might accumulate
Watch for ventilation issues
Report dizziness, drowsiness, or nausea
Avoid overexertion and leave the area if CO exposure is suspected
Inform your doctor if you suspect CO poisoning
Avoid using gas-powered equipment in enclosed spaces

Your safety is our top priority, both at work and at home. Stay safe, stay informed, and take care of yourself, your family, and your team.
