Elliott DockMaster Pedestal Cranes Save Space and Maximize Productivity

When it comes to mission-critical marine applications, you need equipment you can depend on. It should be ready to go, easy to use, and reliably at your service. Elliott DockMaster pedestal-mounted cranes are engineered from the ground up for dependable, easy-to-use operation.

DockMaster’s modular installation ensures your equipment is just where you need it, optimizing boom location, and control position and allowing for easy pump access and serviceability. DockMaster’s three-section boom stows compactly and the DockMaster pedestal easily fits as a drop-in replacement in most facilities.

The operation of the Dockmaster is simple. Full hydraulic, explosion-proof controls ensure smooth handling and give you the tactile feedback needed to perform your best.

Featuring stainless steel lift cylinders, “Armor Rod” telescopic hydraulic cylinders, stainless steel pins, marine coatings, and easy-to-access wear items, the DockMaster is built for years of reliable service.

What is your Job Title?

When did you join Elliott?
July 2021

What do you like best about working for Elliott? I love being able to contribute to the growth, teamwork and leadership being cultivated at Elliott. I also have the freedom to experiment in a variety of technologies and products that haven’t been used at Elliott to create innovative and new designs.

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment at Elliott? My goal is to make the trucks we produce easier to build and more reliable. So, completing the electrical and control design for the new L50 by reducing components and wiring was easily my biggest accomplishment here.

What is your favorite Elliott product and why?  I like anything with electric over hydraulic controls. Why? Because then I get to design and program it!

What are your personal hobbies?                                 I golf, I run, I watch sports, and I like hiding my cell phone to spend quality time with my boys.

What is your all-time favorite movie, band/musician, or TV series?

Movie is True Romance, Band is Led Zeppelin or Jane’s Addiction depending on the day, and TV series is Seinfeld unless you count sports as a TV show.

What is your favorite sport and team?

That’s a split between Cincy Bengals, Cincy Reds, and Ohio State Buckeyes… although the Bluejays are getting up there.

Tell us about your family, and pet(s), or give a fun fact about yourself!

I’ve been married to my wonderful wife Stephanie for 7 years. I have 2 kids, Henry and Hudson (2 years old and 8 months old) who are my best buddies. I also have 3 dogs, so we have a nice and full house! I’ve also proudly been in the Air Force for 16 ½ years as an avionics technician and an engineer and am looking to retire here in the Nebraska Air National Guard in the next 7-10 years.

DID YOU KNOW?

Get the most bang for your buck by strategizing when you turn in your Elliott for a newer machine. Typically, for the optimal ownership experience, we recommend our customers turn in their Elliotts for a new one at around the seven-year point. Why? Because that’s when the chassis can begin to experience unplanned downtime, and it’s also a good resale point in terms of value. We can get you on a long-term fixed payment plan that will allow you to trade in your older machine now and avoid unplanned downtime and maintenance fees.

Are you ready for a new machine? Make sure to stop by our exhibit at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas this month to see our latest aerials, cranes, and digger derricks in person and talk to an Elliott expert.

Spotlight on Safety: WEAR PPE

When it comes to staying safe on the job site, PPE is a critical component, especially in harsh weather conditions or when near potentially dangerous hazards or machines.

Personal protective equipment, or “PPE,”  is equipment worn to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses. PPE may include items such as gloves, safety glasses and shoes, earplugs or muffs, hard hats, respirators, or coveralls, vests and full body suits.

PPE is addressed in specific OSHA standards for general industry, maritime, and construction. OSHA requires that many categories of personal protective equipment meet or be equivalent to standards developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Learn more.
