EMBRACING THE FUTURE OF UTILITY FLEET MANAGEMENT AT EUFMC 2024

Summer is beginning, days are getting longer and we’re excited to kick off the upcoming Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC) from June 2 to June 5 in Williamsburg, VA. This annual event will be full of valuable educational and technical information on the design, procurement, application, operation, management, and maintenance of utility fleet equipment.

Our participation in EUFMC highlights our commitment to advancing the industry. It’s a great opportunity for fleet professionals to share information, discuss challenges, and find solutions. As our country’s demand for electric power continues to increase, EUFMC is a place for fleet managers to develop best practices through collaboration with manufacturers, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.

One of the highlights of the EUFMC is the equipment drive-through, where manufacturers can talk about their latest innovations. Elliott has earned a reputation for being a “must see” presentation at the drive-through. We know that attendees will “dig” what we are putting down this year as well.

As we approach the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, we’re reminded of the increased opportunities these longer days bring. With more daylight hours, we can achieve more in both our professional and personal lives. The summer solstice is a time for energy and productivity.

Summer is also a time for family, relaxation, and outdoor activities. As we enjoy these longer days, let’s balance our professional growth with personal well-being. Wishing you a productive and enjoyable summer filled with professional successes and cherished moments with loved ones.

Have a great start to your summer!

EMPLOYEE PROFILE:

Blake White

What is your Job Title?
Project Engineer.

When did you join Elliott?
July of 2021.

What do you like best about working for Elliott? The culture we have at Elliott is second to none. Everybody seems to work well together. Also, designing big things that pick up other big things is pretty neat.

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment at The D47i. It has been the biggest project I’ve ever worked on.

What is your favorite Elliott product and why? I am biased to say the D47i, but I really like the E160. Also the E150i is one mean looking machine.

What are your personal hobbies? I spend almost all of my free time playing pool. I love to golf when the weather is nice. I have also been playing guitar almost all of my life and still do almost every day.

What is your all-time favorite movie, band/musician, or TV series?

I almost never watch TV, but I used to love The Office and Parks and Rec. I could never narrow down my favorite musician, but my favorite genres are folk and bluegrass.

What is your favorite sport and team?

Kansas State Football.

Tell us about your family, and pet(s), or give a fun fact about yourself!

I have one daughter, Lillian, who is about to turn 7 and she’s the best. I also have two adorable nieces that I rarely get to see because they live in Oregon. The coolest job I have ever had (other than Elliott, of course) was as a nuclear reactor operator while I was in college.
