ELLIOTT WINS INTERNATIONAL PRODUCT OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION

Elliott’s E150i, a truck-mounted aerial work platform from Elliott Equipment Company, has just been named the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Truck-Mounted Product of the Year. This is the second major industry award this product has earned (it has also won the Lift & Access Product of the Year) and is a testament to Elliott’s commitment to creating innovative solutions for lifting and positioning people and materials.

As the world transitions to cleaner energy, the need to keep electricity flowing around the clock will require that transmission lines be maintained without turning them off. The E150i allows for this in its 500kV configuration. Currently, live line work occurs infrequently, so 500kV equipment sits idle most of the time.  What sets the E150i apart is its multifunctionality, making it an ideal solution for a variety of personnel and material applications. Elliott’s engineers designed the machine with customer input in mind, to allow it to be used for live line transmission work while ensuring that it could be used in other situations to maximize utilization.

The E150i boasts several key features that impressed the IPAF judges. It is a telescopic material handling aerial, an articulating aerial with 60 degrees over-center articulation, and can also handle materials with the main boom. The machine’s articulation capability is further enhanced by a patent-pending design that allows users to interchange booms, protecting the insulated boom when not in use.

The IPAF Product of the Year is more than a product award, it’s a recognition of the entire Elliott team, who was involved in the development of the E150i, from initial meetings with customers to develop parameters, to design, supply chain, manufacturing, and product support. This collaborative effort ensured that the final product would meet the needs of the industry and exceed expectations.

We are honored to receive this recognition from the IPAF. The E150i represents Elliott’s commitment to providing the best solutions for our customers, and we look forward to seeing the impact it will have in the industry in THE years to come.

THE E190: REACHING HIGH

The E190 is a telescopic aerial work platform that reaches 190 feet with its powered boom and up to 240 feet with swing around booms. With a large, 1,200-pound capacity work platform the E190 can easily handle heavy loads and can accommodate 2 people plus tools and accessories.

One of the standout features of the E190 is its advanced DynaSmooth control system. Operators can expect a smooth and precise operation, thanks to the system’s easy-to-use controls and real-time feedback on the machine’s performance. The E190 controls can operate via radio or hard-wired mode. The control box provides the operator with information including boom length and angle, wind speed, weight and more.

Setting up the E190 is a breeze, as the unit’s EZ Crib outriggers provide 30” additional vertical penetration, minimizing the need for handling heavy ground boards and other cribbing. And the E190 is compliant with ANSI A92.2 aerial standards in all modes of operation, so it does not require pre-lift testing like a “dual-rated” crane.

Elliott’s E-Line is perfect for utility transmission, wind and other applications requiring long reach and material handling.

SMOOTH SAILING: THE BENEFITS OF DYNASMOOTH CONTROLS

Our Dynasmooth controls are an innovative feature that sets our products apart from the competition. These advanced controls use sophisticated algorithms and sensors to provide smooth precise operation, helping operators to work more efficiently and safely.

Dynasmooth controls help to reduce the jolting and jerking movements that can make working at height more difficult and uncomfortable. By providing smooth and precise control of the boom, operators can easily position the platform where it’s needed, improving productivity and reducing the risk of accidents. Overall, Dynasmooth controls are a key feature that makes Elliott products an excellent choice for operators looking for the highest level of performance and control.

WEATHERING THE STORM: WHY ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY IS CRITICAL FOR AERIAL WORK PLATFORMS AND HEAVY MACHINERY

Ensuring safe environmental conditions before operating machinery is crucial for protecting the safety of operators and those in the surrounding area.

Environmental factors such as wind, rain, snow, and lightning can all pose serious risks to those working at height or with heavy machinery.

Operators must carefully assess these conditions before beginning work and take appropriate precautions to minimize risks. This may include delaying work until conditions improve, securing site equipment against gusts of wind, and avoiding working near power lines or other hazards. By prioritizing safety and being aware of environmental conditions, operators can help prevent accidents and ensure that everyone on the job site remains safe.
